Non-Alcoholic Layered Drinks (Virgin Layered Mocktail)

Non-alcoholic layered drinks with three vivid jewel-toned layers—deep red grenadine, golden lemonade, and bright blue raspberry—stacked in a clear glass without bleeding. Made as an easy mocktail recipe by floating each chilled liquid over ice using a spoon for sharp, clean boundaries.

Ingredients

grenadine syrup
  • 0.25 cup grenadine syrup Use chilled if possible for the cleanest float.
lemonade, chilled
  • 0.5 cup lemonade, chilled Chill thoroughly to help layers stay distinct.
blue raspberry sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade, chilled
  • 0.25 cup blue raspberry sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade, chilled Keep cold so it floats cleanly on top.
ice cubes
  • 1 ice cubes
maraschino cherries and striped straws for garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherries and striped straws for garnish

Method

Build the layers
  1. Fill a tall clear glass with ice cubes almost to the top. The glass should look tightly packed with ice for stable layering.
  2. Pour grenadine syrup slowly over the ice so it sinks to the bottom as the first layer. Let it settle fully and watch for a uniform red layer at the base.
  3. Gently pour chilled lemonade over the back of a spoon held just above the ice. The stream should flow smoothly down the spoon to form a clean golden middle layer without breaking through.
  4. Pour the blue raspberry drink over the back of the spoon in the same way to float it as the top layer. Stop when the blue reaches the top and keep the layers visually separated.
  5. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a striped straw and serve immediately without stirring. The layers should remain distinct with visible bands and condensation on the glass.

Notes

Pro tip: use well-chilled liquids and keep the spoon close to the ice so each layer flows gently instead of mixing. For best appearance, assemble and serve right away; the drink can be refrigerated for up to 6 hours but layers may blur over time. Freezing isn’t recommended because the layered look won’t hold. For a lighter option, replace lemonade with a low-sugar lemonade (and choose a lower-sugar blue raspberry drink) to reduce sweetness while keeping the same layered technique.
