Ingredients

Garlic butter pork chop ingredients
  • 4 bone-in pork chops 1 inch thick
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 5 garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 4 lemon slices for serving

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Prep and season
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and paprika.
  3. Season pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides and place in the baking dish.
Bake and baste
  1. Pour garlic butter mixture over each pork chop, making sure both sides get coated.
  2. Bake 18–22 minutes at 400°F until internal temperature reaches 145°F and tops are golden.
  3. Baste with pan drippings once during cooking, then serve with lemon slices.

Notes

For best browning, use an oven-safe baking dish with enough room so the pork chops sit mostly flat in the garlic butter. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat gently in a 300°F oven until just warmed through. Freeze is not recommended for the most tender texture. For a dairy-light option, use a plant-based butter substitute for the melted butter.
