Prep and preheat
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides and place them in the prepared dish.
Make the cream sauce
- Whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning mix, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Pour the cream sauce evenly over the chicken, coating completely.
Bake
- Top the chicken with Parmesan cheese and bake for 28 to 32 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and golden and the interior reaches 165°F.
Finish and serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta or rice.
Notes
For the thickest, most clingy sauce, whisk until completely smooth before pouring, then keep the dish level while baking so the sauce pools around each breast. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3–4 days; reheat gently in the microwave or oven until warmed through. Freezing isn’t recommended because sour-cream–based sauces can separate after thawing. Dietary swap: use reduced-fat sour cream and light mayonnaise for a lighter bake while keeping the creamy texture.
