Ingredients

Apple Cider Aperol Spritz
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 3 oz apple cider chilled
  • 3 oz prosecco chilled
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • 1 Ice
  • 1 thin apple slice
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Method

Build the spritz
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice to the top for full chilling and maximum carbonation retention. You should see clear ice filling the bowl of the glass.
  2. Pour in Aperol and add the chilled apple cider. The liquid should turn a glowing orange as it hits the ice.
  3. Top with prosecco and then add the sparkling water. Bubbles should rise actively from the center of the glass.
  4. Stir gently once to combine. The drink should look evenly mixed while still foaming slightly.
  5. Garnish with a thin apple slice and a cinnamon stick, then serve immediately. The garnish should be visible above the rim for an autumn look.

Notes

Pro tip: keep the apple cider and prosecco chilled before assembling so the spritz stays crisp and doesn’t dilute too fast. Store any leftovers only briefly in the fridge, up to 1 day, but carbonation will fade—best to make fresh. Freezing is not recommended. For a lower-alcohol version, replace some prosecco with chilled sparkling water while keeping the same Aperol-to-cider ratio.
