Ingredients

Baguette
  • 1 1 baguette, sliced 1/2 inch thick on the bias
Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
Feta cheese
  • 8 oz feta, crumbled
Cream cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
Lemon zest
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
Hot honey
  • 1 4 cup hot honey
Garnish
  • 1 Red pepper flakes and fresh thyme for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Toast the baguette
  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet with even spacing.
  2. Bake for 6-8 minutes until the edges are golden and the tops look crisp. Remove the sheet pan and let the crostini cool slightly so the topping won’t melt.
Whip the feta
  1. In a food processor, blend the feta, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and lemon zest until fluffy and smooth. Scrape down the sides as needed for an even, spreadable texture.
Assemble
  1. Spread a thick layer of whipped feta on each crostini, covering the surface fully. Make gentle swirls so the topping stays airy.
  2. Drizzle with hot honey and top with red pepper flakes and fresh thyme. Finish with a glossy honey line that visibly runs down the side.

Notes

Pro tip: Softened cream cheese whips faster—leave it at room temperature for 15 minutes if it feels firm. Store assembled crostini in the fridge up to 2 days, but keep the baguette and whipped feta separate for best crunch (re-toast slices 2 minutes at 400F). Freezing is not recommended for the finished crostini; freeze whipped feta separately up to 2 months. For a lower-fat option, use reduced-fat cream cheese and yogurt while keeping the feta amount the same.
